Before graduating from high school, in 1973, George with his family, designed, built, and operated their family ice cream shop, Peppermint Patti’s in Defiance, Ohio. While working at the shop during college, George using many of his father’s ice cream and novelty recipes continued the family legacy.
Graduating from college, in 1977, George became the Stoelting ice cream machine distributor in Ohio; he continued to build and design many ice cream shops in and around Ohio. George and his family developed the Ohio distributorship into one of the top USA sales & service distributors for several years.
Years later, George joined a national flavoring company, and for 20 years learned how to develop flavorings and recipes for the ice cream industry; selling to both industrial and retail ice cream businesses. Since 2008 and until joining Zink Foodservice, George managed sales and customer support for a USA ice cream cabinet manufacturer. George was also involved with the product development and cabinet design for chains and independent ice cream businesses.
George has worked with all facets of the foodservice distribution channel, shop operators, dealers, and chain operators, during his entire career, thus providing George a unique perspective and skill in supporting the needs of today’s foodservice equipment manufacturer.
George’s, over 40 years’, experience in the ice cream industry has prepared him for his new role at Zink Foodservice. George’s current mission is to manage and develop Zink as the premiere ice cream equipment sales team in the US.
