Privacy, plainly.
The short version: we collect what you type into our forms so we can respond to you, we don't run advertising trackers, and we never sell or share your information. The details are below, in plain English.
What we collect.
Only what you choose to give us through the forms on this site: your name, company, email address, phone number, and whatever you write about your project when you contact us, request a quote, book a demo, ask for service help, subscribe to Field Notes, or sign in at a culinary center. If you apply for a job, that includes your application details and the resume, cover letter, and references you upload. We don't buy data about you, and we don't collect anything behind your back while you browse.
How we use it.
To do the thing you asked: answer your question, route your quote or service request to the right person, schedule your visit, tell your host you've arrived, consider your application, or send you the newsletter you subscribed to. Form submissions go to the Zink team members who handle them and are kept as long as we need them for that purpose and our ordinary business records. We don't use your information for advertising, and we never sell it or share it with third parties for their marketing.
Cookies and tracking.
This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookies here belong to Google Analytics, which we use to understand which pages help our visitors and which don't — measurement only, with all advertising features switched off, and never to build profiles or target ads. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics never loads at all: no cookie, no measurement, nothing to opt out of. Separately, a few features keep small notes in your own browser's storage so the site works the way you left it: your "My Session" list, your state selection, saved drafts on internal forms, and which homepage photo you saw last. That information lives on your device, is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Third parties we use.
A few service providers process data on our behalf, only to run this site: Netlify hosts the site and receives form submissions for delivery to us. Google Analytics measures site usage for us with advertising features disabled — and respects Global Privacy Control. Videos are embedded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, which loads nothing until you press play; if you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the playback. The chat button connects to Dialpad, our phone provider, only when you tap it. None of these are given your information for their own marketing.
Your choices.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold about them, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — and we extend the same courtesy to everyone. Email info@zinkfsg.com or call 800.492.7400 and we'll take care of it; we'll never treat you differently for asking. Every Field Notes email includes an unsubscribe link that works the first time.
