Blends per day, duty class out.

One honest number in — your busy-day blend count — and the published duty tier out, with the jar-program note nobody mentions until the third burned motor.

One number

Duty tiers are published industry guidance; the daily count is yours. Smoothie programs are almost always a tier higher than the owner guesses.

Your duty class

Hamilton Beach Commercial builds across the whole ladder — and the right jar program (count, material, rotation) matters as much as the base. Ask your rep to size both.

Asked every week.

What commercial blender do I need for a smoothie program?

Published duty tiers run on daily blend counts: purpose-built commercial machines from about 60 blends a day, heavy-duty from 150, and maximum-duty at 200 and up — where sound enclosures and programmed cycles stop being luxuries.

Why do bar blenders die in smoothie shops?

Duty cycle. A bar machine built for 40 daily cycles running 200 smoothie cycles cooks its motor in months. Matching the published duty tier to the real count is the whole game — and above 200 a day, a second machine buys redundancy and jar rotation.
