Who do I call when kitchen equipment breaks — the dealer, the rep, or the manufacturer?
If it's a working-equipment problem, the manufacturer's manufacturer-authorized service network handles it — that's who warranty repairs must run through. If it's an order problem — wrong item, freight damage, missing parts — your dealer owns the purchase order and resolves it fastest. Not sure? Call Zink at 800.492.7400 and we route it the same day.
Does using an unauthorized repair company void a warranty?
It can. Warranty terms generally require manufacturer-authorized service; an outside repair during the warranty period risks the coverage on the whole unit. Inside warranty, always start with the authorized network.
When is repair not worth it?
A common rule of thumb: when a repair estimate approaches half the replacement cost on an aging unit, price the replacement — including the energy and labor the newer unit saves. Your rep can run that comparison with real numbers.
A tool gets you close. A person gets it right.
Every number here is a starting point, not a quote. Your Zink specialist runs these questions for a living — and checking your math costs you nothing.
